Nokia Lumia 620 with Windows Phone 8 available for pre-orders at Rs. 15,199

Nokia Lumia 620, Nokia's mid-range Windows Phone 8 device is now available online through Flipkart. The phone is available for pre-order and has been listed at Rs. 15,199 on the website, with second week of March, mentioned as the estimated time frame for the release of the phone. The online retailer is also offering a 16GB memory card with the phone.

It's worth noting that Nokia had announced the Lumia 620 when it launched the Lumia 920 and 820 in India, in January. It had said that the Lumia 620 would ship in February but had not disclosed pricing information for the phone. So Nokia is late by more than a month in making the phone available in the Indian market.

The Lumia 620 was announced last December with an unsubsidised price of $249. It sports a 3.8-inch TFT WVGA display (800X480) with ClearBlack technology, features a 5-megapixel rear autofocus shooter capable of 720p video recording and has a VGA front camera on-board as well.

On the inside, the device is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 512MB RAM and has 8GB internal storage with microSD support upto 64GB. Windows Phone users can also make use of the additional 7GB SkyDrive storage.

The smartphone boasts connectivity options like NFC, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi. It comes with a 1,300mAh battery claiming up to 15 hours of talk time (2G) and many hours of music playback.

As any other Windows Phone 8 device, the Nokia Lumia 620 will feature a Live Tile interface for updates to the Start Screen, PeopleHub and a Me Tile along with other Windows Phone 8 functions. The distinguishing feature however is Nokia's own set of Windows Phone apps including Nokia Music and Nokia City Lens, among others, which are not available on other Windows Phone devices.
